Construction of a new shelter for stray dogs in Yerevan is set to begin next year, aiming to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the city’s homeless canines.
The shelter will have the capacity to accommodate approximately 300 stray dogs. In addition to traditional kennel enclosures, it will feature outdoor separated areas, offering the animals space to move and interact in a secure environment.
According to officials, the facility is being designed with the welfare of the animals as a priority, ensuring they feel safe and protected. The project’s design has been developed based on an in-depth study of successful international practices in animal care and shelter management.
